Darigold Boise Safety Harness Project
As trucks rolled into the receiving bay at the plant, drivers would utilize safety harnesses and retractable lanyards for fall protection as they climbed on top of the large vessels. The retractable lanyards were attached to a large i-beam rail system that was becoming outdated. Barrier Building, Inc. stepped up to help remove the old system and install a brand new fall arrest system to keep the drivers safe.
The new beam had to be mounted through the hollow core concrete roof deck. On the exterior the roofing system was a ballasted TPO system so many yards of small round rocks had to be temporarily relocated in order to make the necessary penetrations and patch back. All of this work inside an operating plant took careful planning, and flawless execution from the construction team. This was a challenging project, but our team never backs down from a challenge.
Hearthside Foods Cleaning Room
Working with Hearthside Foods, Barrier Building, Inc. completely gutted and the remodeled their process cleaning room on the interior of their food processing plant in Boise, Id. We are well accustomed to performing typical construction in sterile environments. Installing the necessary temporary protection, sterilizing all tools and equipment prior to entering the area and maintaining security are just a few of the challenges that are imposed when working in environments like these.
